Ingredients

  • 1 or 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 or 3 celery stalks, sliced
  • 1/2 brown or white onion, chopped
  • 1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • 1/2 to 1 c. vegetables, cut in bite-sized pieces*
  • 1/2 c. additional vegetable**
  • 2 more cups water
  • 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix or 1 Tbsp. dry beef or chicken bouillon or 1 can beef or chicken stock or bouillon *** or 1 (3 oz.) can plain tomato juice
