Ingredients

  • 4 pieces cubed steak, cut in julienne strips
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 1/4 cup salad oil
  • 2 green peppers, cut in julienne strips
  • 1 cup biased cut celery
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tomatoes, peeled and cut into eights

Method

  • Season meat with garlic and ginger.
  • Heat half of the oil in a skillet, add meat and brown quickly on all sided.
  • Remove meat and add remaining oil, heat and add peppers and celery.
  • Cook until slightly tender, about 3 minutes.
  • Mix cornstarch and cold water and soy sauce.
  • Add to skillet and cook, stirring until mixture thickens.
  • Add meat & tomatoes.
  • Heat.
  • Serve with rice and pass the soy sauce.
