Ingredients
- 1 pkg. cubed steak (4 to 6 steaks)
- 1/2 c. flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 large onion, sliced thin
- 1 can whole, peeled tomatoes
- 1 c. water
Method
- Dredge steak in flour, salt and pepper mixture.
- Brown coated steak in bacon grease (shortening may be used).
- Remove browned steak to plate.
- In pan drippings, saute onions until brown.
- Add tomatoes and water.
- Chop tomatoes as they begin to heat.
- Add steak back to gravy and simmer until steak is tender.
- Serve with hot biscuits! Delicious!
