Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 beaten egg
- 2 Tbsp. finely chopped green pepper
- 1 Tbsp. parsley
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1/4 tsp. dried thyme
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. instant beef bouillon granules
Method
- Cook onion in butter until tender, not browned.
- Combine onion, ground beef, beaten egg, green pepper, parsley, salt, pepper and thyme.
- Mix well.
- Shape in 3/4-inch to 1-inch balls.
- Brown meatballs in butter.
- Remove from skillet.
- Stir flour and beef bouillon granules in skillet; add 3 to 4 cups water.
- Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
- Season to taste.
- Add meatballs to gravy.
- Cover; simmer about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serves 5 or 6.
