Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. Bisquick
  • 1/4 c. margarine, softened
  • 2 Tbsp. boiling water
  • 6 to 7 slices crisp bacon, crumbled
  • 1/2 c. half and half
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. thinly sliced onions
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
  • dash of cayenne pepper

Method

  • Generously grease 24 small muffin cups.
  • Mix Bisquick and margarine.
  • Add boiling water.
  • Stir vigorously forming soft dough.
  • Press rounded teaspoonful on bottom and sides of muffin cups.
  • Divide bacon in cups.
  • Beat half and half and egg.
  • Stir in onions and seasonings.
  • Spoon 1 1/2 teaspoons in each cup. Sprinkle cheese over top.
  • Bake at 375° until golden brown, about 20 minutes.
  • Makes 24 appetizers.
