Ingredients

  • 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 qt. water
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 c. beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp. dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. ground basil
  • 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 (15 oz.) can garbanzo beans
  • 1 (16 oz.) can green beans
  • 1 1/4 c. macaroni, uncooked
  • Parmesan cheese (for garnish)

Method

  • Cook hamburger, onion, and green pepper and drain.
  • Puree tomatoes in blender.
  • Add to hamburger mixture with water, carrots, tomato sauce, broth, parsley, basil, oregano, pepper and garlic salt.
  • Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes.
