Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 qts. popped corn
  • 1/4 c. corn syrup
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Method

  • Put popcorn in a large paper bag.
  • Place the rest of the ingredients in a large microwave safe bowl.
  • Boil for 2 minutes (approximatley 4 minutes in the microwave depending on butter and microwave.)
  • Add 1/2 tsp. baking soda.
  • Stir and pour over popcorn in the paper bag. Microwave (in bag) for 1
  • 1/2 minutes on full power.
  • Stir. Microwave for another 1
  • 1/2 minutes on full power.
  • Take out of microwave and stir in bag.
  • Spread on a cookie sheet to cool.
