Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 qt. popped popcorn
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. Karo syrup (light)
  • 1 cube butter
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Method

  • Cook brown sugar, Karo syrup, butter and salt slowly to boiling.
  • Stir, then cook 2 minutes on high heat.
  • Add soda; stir until thick.
  • Put popcorn in a brown paper bag.
  • Remove Karo mixture from stove; add to popcorn in bag.
  • You may also add 1 cup peanuts.
  • Microwave 1 minute on High; shake.
  • Microwave 1 minute on High; shake.
  • Microwave 1 minute on High.
  • Enjoy!
