Ingredients

  • 4 qt. popcorn
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Method

  • Pop popcorn and put in large microwaveproof bowl.
  • Mix in another glass bowl the brown sugar, corn syrup, butter and salt. Cook on High for 2 minutes.
  • Stir and cook for another 3 minutes. Add vanilla and soda.
  • Pour over, a little at a time, the popcorn. Stir and mix well.
  • Cook in microwave for 1 minute on High. Stir again.
  • Pour rest of sauce over popcorn.
  • Cook again for 2 minutes.
  • Then cool on cookie sheet.
