Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery with leaves
  • 3 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 c. catsup
  • dash or 2 Worcestershire
  • 1 can tomato puree
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Cook ground beef in 2 tablespoons oil until all the red is gone, then add onions.
  • Saute for about 10 minutes.
  • Do not brown. Add remaining ingredients, except Parmesan cheese.
  • Cook not less than 2 hours.
  • Just before serving, add cheese and stir.
  • Serve over spaghetti noodles.
