Ingredients
- 1 c. soft oleo or butter
- 1/2 c. sugar (granulated or confectioners)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 c. finely chopped pecans
- 15 candied or maraschino cherries
Method
- Cream together butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add salt, vanilla, flour and nuts.
- Blend well.
- Refrigerate until easy to handle.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Flatten slightly with a fork.
- Press 1/2 candied or maraschino cherry in each.
- Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
