Ingredients

  • 1 c. (1/2 lb.) butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 (4 ounce.) can California green chilies, seeded and minced
  • 1 can cream style corn
  • 1/2 c. shredded Jack cheese
  • 1/2 c. shredded mild Cheddar cheese
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. yellow cornmeal
  • 4 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cream butter and sugar.
  • Add in Large eggs, one at a time, mixing well.
  • Add in chilies, corn, and cheese, mix well.
  • Sift flour, then measure; sift cornmeal, then measure; sift both together with baking pwdr and salt and add in to corn mix, blending well.
  • Pour into greased and floured 8x12x2 inch baking dish.
  • Put in oven and reduce heat to 300 degrees.
  • Bake for 1 hour.
  • Serves 10.
