Ingredients
- 2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 medium onion
- 2 eggs
- 8 to 10 saltine crackers
- 2 cans mushroom soup
- 1 small can sliced mushrooms (optional)
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Mix ground chuck, onion, eggs, salt, pepper and crackers.
- Mix well.
- Shape into balls.
- (Slightly flatten for quicker cooking time.)
- Brown in skillet with lid (electric skillet works best) until both sides are brown.
- Fill skillet 1/2 with water and let simmer 30 minutes.
- Add mushroom soup and sliced mushrooms. Simmer 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
