- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 qt. water
- 2/3 tsp. paprika
- 3 tsp. white sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 lb. hamburger
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 c. milk
- 1 medium onion
- 3 Tbsp. melted butter
- 3 Tbsp. catsup
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- bread crumbs
Method
- Mix the first 5 ingredients; let simmer while making meat loaf.
- Mix all remaining ingredients together.
- Add enough bread crumbs to hold meat together.
- Cook in sauce on medium-low heat for 3 1/2 to 4 hours.
- The sauce may be used as a gravy for potatoes.
