Ingredients

  • 2.5 lb. meat (beef or lamb), cut into 1.5 to 2-inch cubes
  • 10 oz. onion paste
  • 2 oz. ground ginger
  • 10 oz. yogurt
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp. turmeric

Method

  • Mix the meat with turmeric and salt in a pan and boil the meat in a proportionate quantity of water.
  • There should not be any excess water in the pan when the meat is tender.
  • Add ginger, onion and yogurt to the boiled meat and keep for 20 minutes with occasional stirring.
  • Then fry in a little butter until brown. Ready for serving.
