Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 lb. round steak
  • 4 Tbsp. margarine
  • 4 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 medium potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 carrots
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2 c. fresh mushrooms
  • seasonings to taste

Method

  • Place steak in a long casserole dish.
  • Season; dot with butter and add Worcestershire sauce.
  • In layers, add sliced potatoes, onion, carrots, bell pepper and mushrooms.
  • Cover casserole with foil.
  • Bake in a 350° oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and cook 10 to 15 minutes longer, or until browned.
