Ingredients
- 1/2 c. salad oil
- 1/3 to 1/2 c. apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 c. tomato ketchup
- 1 Tbsp. basil
- 2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 3 lb. top round beef (2 inch thick)
Method
- Combine first 6 ingredients in covered jar and shake well. Score meat lightly on both sides and place in baking dish.
- Pour marinade over meat and cover.
- Marinate in refrigerator 2 to 3 hours, turning and basting occasionally.
- Place meat on broiler pan and sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
- Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat 25 to 30 minutes, turning and basting frequently with marinade.
- Slice thin and serve.
