Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. milk, scalded
  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 4 1/2 c. flour

Method

  • Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  • Add sugar and baking powder. Let stand 20 minutes.
  • Scald milk; add margarine, sugar and salt. Cool; add eggs.
  • Combine yeast with milk mixture in large bowl. Combine with flour.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Two hours before serving, make into dinner rolls.
  • Let rise 2 hours.
  • Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
  • Makes 12 large rolls.
