Ingredients

  • 1 block (350 grams) Firm tofu
  • 200 grams Ground pork
  • 1 small Onion
  • 2 tbsp each Red miso, mirin, sake, sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp each Sugar, soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Doubanjiang
  • 1 dash Grated ginger
  • 1/2 tbsp Katakuriko to thicken the sauce

Method

  • Finely chop the onion, and stir-fry it well in a frying pan.
  • Add the ground pork and stir-fry.
  • To make the miso sauce: Dissolve the miso in mirin, then add the other ingredients marked with to make the sauce.
  • Add the cubed tofu and miso sauce to the frying pan and bring to a boil.
  • Add the katakuriko dissolved in water to thicken the sauce.
  • There's not much water in the sauce, so add a little to adjust the consistency.
