Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburg (not chuck or round, too dry)
  • 2 onions, chopped fine
  • 2 green peppers, chopped fine
  • 1 c. beef broth
  • salt, pepper and garlic salt to taste
  • flour and water, for thickening

Method

  • Brown in heavy pan hamburg, onions and peppers; add other ingredients.
  • Set aside.
  • Make a biscuit dough (as light as possible).
  • Roll out to 1-inch thickness.
  • Put meat topping on dough roll (like jellyroll) and clip edges together and put on cookie sheet.
  • Cover with Lipton dry onion soup).
  • Bake at 350°. Test often.
  • Cut in slices and cover each piece with gravy.
  • Serve with baked potato and green vegetable.
