Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
  • 1/4 cup olive oil, divided
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions Safeway 1 lb For $1.49 thru 02/09
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb. uncooked deveined peeled large shrimp Safeway 1 lb For $8.99 thru 02/09
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1-3/4 cups KRAFT Shredded Triple Cheddar Cheese with a TOUCH OF PHILADELPHIA, divided
  • 1/3 cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese, divided

Method

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Cook macaroni as directed on package, omitting salt.
  • Meanwhile, heat 1 Tbsp.
  • oil in large skillet on medium heat.
  • Add onions and garlic; cook and stir 5 min.
  • or until crisp-tender.
  • Add shrimp; cook and stir 3 to 4 min.
  • or until shrimp turn pink.
  • Remove shrimp mixture from skillet; set aside.
  • Add remaining oil to skillet.
  • Whisk in flour; cook and stir 1 min.
  • Gradually whisk in milk; cook and stir 3 to 5 min.
  • or until thickened.
  • Add 1-1/4 cups shredded cheese and 1/4 cup Parmesan; cook and stir 1 to 2 min.
  • or until shredded cheese is melted.
  • Drain macaroni.
  • Add to cheese sauce along with the shrimp mixture; mix well.
  • Spoon into 9-inch square baking dish sprayed with cooking spray; top with remaining cheeses.
  • Bake 20 min.
  • or until heated through.
