Ingredients

  • 1 (15 oz.) pkg. M & M's plain or peanut candies
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (if desired)

Method

  • Coarsely chop 1 1/2 cups candies; reserve remaining for decorations.
  • Beat together margarine and sugars until light and fluffy.
  • Blend in eggs and vanilla.
  • Add combined flour, soda and salt; mix well.
  • Stir in chopped candies and nuts.
  • Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for 9 to 11 minutes.
  • Remove from oven.
  • Immediately press 3 reserved candies on top of each.
  • Cool.
