- 1 lb. very lean ground beef
- 1 lb. ground pork (optional)
- 1 small can bamboo shoots, cut small
- 1 can water chestnuts, diced very small
- 1 can seasoned French-style green beans with pimiento and onion
- some dried or fresh onion
- some cabbage, diced thin
- 2 carrots, grated
- 1 large potato, grated
- fresh or 1 can bean sprouts
- sprinkle of garlic powder, Accent, salt, pepper and sugar
- celery, finely diced
- bell pepper, chopped
Method
- Mix all ingredients and tablespoon into wrappers.
- Fold wrappers and seal with a few tablespoons of water and cornstarch mixture.
- Fry or deep fry to desired brownness.
- Makes approximately 100 pieces.
- Uncooked lumpia or uncooked mixture may be frozen.
- Lumpia wrappers may be purchased at some grocery stores.
