Ingredients

  • 1 lb. very lean ground beef
  • 1 lb. ground pork (optional)
  • 1 small can bamboo shoots, cut small
  • 1 can water chestnuts, diced very small
  • 1 can seasoned French-style green beans with pimiento and onion
  • some dried or fresh onion
  • some cabbage, diced thin
  • 2 carrots, grated
  • 1 large potato, grated
  • fresh or 1 can bean sprouts
  • sprinkle of garlic powder, Accent, salt, pepper and sugar
  • celery, finely diced
  • bell pepper, chopped

Method

  • Mix all ingredients and tablespoon into wrappers.
  • Fold wrappers and seal with a few tablespoons of water and cornstarch mixture.
  • Fry or deep fry to desired brownness.
  • Makes approximately 100 pieces.
  • Uncooked lumpia or uncooked mixture may be frozen.
  • Lumpia wrappers may be purchased at some grocery stores.
