Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbs baking powder
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup + rasins
  • 1 Tbs caraway seed (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 4 Tbs butter, melted

Method

  • -Preheat over to 350F
  • -Grease Pan
  • -In medium Bowl combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Stir in raisins and caraway seed.
  • -With fork, blend in buttermilk and melted butter until evenly moist.
  • -Turn into baking pan and cut an "X" on top.
  • -Bake one hour and ten minutes approx. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • -Remove from pan, cool on wire rack.
