Ingredients
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
- 1/2 link beef/pork sausage, sliced
- 2 c. shrimp
- 2 c. uncooked rice
- garlic salt
- onion salt
- Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning
- 2 Tbsp. Kitchen Bouquet
Method
- Saute chopped onion, celery and bell pepper.
- Add sausage slices and brown.
- Pour off grease.
- Add shrimp and cook until shrimp turns pink.
- Add rice and continue frying over medium heat for 2 minutes.
- Add seasonings to taste.
- Add about 4 cups water. Bring to a boil and cook on low to medium heat for 20 minutes, until rice is soft.
- Cover pot while cooking.
