Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
  • 1/2 link beef/pork sausage, sliced
  • 2 c. shrimp
  • 2 c. uncooked rice
  • garlic salt
  • onion salt
  • Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp. Kitchen Bouquet

Method

  • Saute chopped onion, celery and bell pepper.
  • Add sausage slices and brown.
  • Pour off grease.
  • Add shrimp and cook until shrimp turns pink.
  • Add rice and continue frying over medium heat for 2 minutes.
  • Add seasonings to taste.
  • Add about 4 cups water. Bring to a boil and cook on low to medium heat for 20 minutes, until rice is soft.
  • Cover pot while cooking.
