Ingredients
- 1 lb. lentils (wash and remove the debris)
- 1 large chopped onion
- 2 or 3 stems chopped celery
- 2 chopped carrots
- some pepper for taste
- a couple Tbsp. olive oil
- 2 large cloves garlic (pressed)
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp. sugar
Method
- Place all ingredients in a suitable size pot with enough water to make a soup thickness to one's liking.
- Cook at medium heat (about 1 1/2 hours or until done).
