Ingredients
- 1 lb. lentils
- 1/2 lb. ham seasoning
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 pods garlic, sliced
- 1/4 c. parsley
- 1 medium carrot, chopped
- 1 rib celery, chopped
- 1/2 gal. water
- salt and pepper to taste (Tabasco is excellent)
Method
- Add lentils and all other ingredients to 1/2 gallon water in large soup pot.
- Bring to boil.
- When onion and carrots are very soft, lower heat and cook over low boil until lentils are tender. Stir constantly.
