Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons Ghee
  • 1/2 Yellow Onion, Chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 2 cups Uncooked Brown Rice
  • 1-1/2 Tablespoon Powdered Turmeric
  • 2 cups Low Sodium Chicken Broth
  • 1 Lemon, Juiced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • Cilantro For Garnish

Method

  • In a saucepan over medium heat, add ghee, onions, and garlic. Cook until slightly translucent and soft.
  • Add rice and turmeric. Stir to coat rice. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Cover and turn down heat and simmer for 30-35 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and add lemon juice and salt. Stir to combine.
  • Plate and garnish with cilantro. Serve hot.
