Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons Ghee
- 1/2 Yellow Onion, Chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 2 cups Uncooked Brown Rice
- 1-1/2 Tablespoon Powdered Turmeric
- 2 cups Low Sodium Chicken Broth
- 1 Lemon, Juiced
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- Cilantro For Garnish
Method
- In a saucepan over medium heat, add ghee, onions, and garlic. Cook until slightly translucent and soft.
- Add rice and turmeric. Stir to coat rice. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Cover and turn down heat and simmer for 30-35 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add lemon juice and salt. Stir to combine.
- Plate and garnish with cilantro. Serve hot.
