Ingredients

  • 2 (1 1/2 lb.) Rock Cornish hens, split in half lengthwise
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c. ReaLemon lemon juice from concentrate
  • 2 tsp. Wyler's or Steero chicken flavor instant bouillon or 2 chicken flavor bouillon cubes
  • 1 tsp. chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp. rosemary leaves, crushed

Method

  • Season hens lightly with salt and pepper.
  • In small saucepan, cook onion and garlic in oil until tender.
  • Add remaining ingredients; simmer 10 minutes.
  • Grill hens until tender and crisp, about 1 hour, turning and basting frequently with sauce. Refrigerate leftovers.
  • Makes 4 servings.
