- 2 (1 1/2 lb.) Rock Cornish hens, split in half lengthwise
- salt and pepper
- 2 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1/4 c. ReaLemon lemon juice from concentrate
- 2 tsp. Wyler's or Steero chicken flavor instant bouillon or 2 chicken flavor bouillon cubes
- 1 tsp. chopped parsley
- 1 tsp. rosemary leaves, crushed
Method
- Season hens lightly with salt and pepper.
- In small saucepan, cook onion and garlic in oil until tender.
- Add remaining ingredients; simmer 10 minutes.
- Grill hens until tender and crisp, about 1 hour, turning and basting frequently with sauce. Refrigerate leftovers.
- Makes 4 servings.
