- 1 c. (8 oz. can) sliced mushrooms, drained and rinsed
- 3 cans French-style green beans or 2 pkg. frozen
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 can water chestnuts, drained and rinse
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 c. milk
- 3/4 to 1 c. cubed Velveeta cheese
- 1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 2 tsp. soy sauce
- 1 tsp. Accent
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
Method
- Heat green beans until boiling, drain and set aside.
- Brown onion and mushrooms in margarine in heavy skillet.
- In a medium saucepan, add and heat together flour, milk, cheese, Tabasco, soy sauce, Accent and pepper until cheese melts.
- In large ovenproof baking dish, mix green beans, cheese sauce, mushrooms and onions. Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes and serve.
- Yields 4 to 6 servings.
