Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (30 oz.) jar Ragu traditional or meat flavored spaghetti sauce
  • 16 oz. cottage cheese
  • 8 oz. sour cream
  • 8 oz. or more shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 9 uncooked lasagna noodles
  • 1 c. water

Method

  • Brown ground beef until done.
  • Add spaghetti sauce.
  • Heat through.
  • In a small bowl, combine sour cream and cottage cheese. Layer the lasagna as follows in a large casserole dish: 1/3 meat mixture, 4 1/2 noodles (uncooked), 1/2 cottage cheese mixture, 4 ounces Mozzarella cheese, 1/2 the Parmesan cheese, 1/3 meat sauce, 4 1/2 noodles, rest of the cottage cheese mixture, rest of meat sauce, top with rest of Mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. Pour water on top of all.
  • Cover tightly with foil.
  • Bake 1 hour at 350°.
  • Uncover and bake 20 more minutes.
  • Then take out of oven and let sit for 20 minutes.
  • Serve.
