Ingredients

  • 1 large head lettuce, broken into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
  • 1 pkg. frozen English peas, uncooked
  • 1/2 green or yellow bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
  • 2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 pkg. Ranch salad dressing mix
  • 1 c. (4 oz.) grated sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 12 slices bacon, fried crisp and diced

Method

  • Layer the first 6 ingredients in a 12 x 9 x 2-inch serving dish.
  • Combine mayonnaise and dressing mix.
  • Spread on top, sealing vegetables below.
  • Top with grated cheese.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Sprinkle on diced bacon before serving.
