Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 8 oz. ground pork
  • 1/4 c. diced onion
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3 c. cottage cheese
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. noodles
  • 1/4 lb. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Cook ground beef, ground pork, onion and garlic in a large saucepan until meat is brown and onion tender.
  • Drain off all fat. Add tomatoes.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, sugar and salt.
  • Heat until boiling.
  • Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until mixture is consistency of spaghetti sauce.
  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Mix cottage cheese, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, salt and oregano.
