Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes, chopped (undrained)
  • salt, pepper and garlic to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • 1 (16 oz.) carton cottage cheese
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 24 oz. Mozzarella cheese

Method

  • Brown and drain ground beef and season to taste.
  • Add tomato paste and tomatoes.
  • Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
  • Cook noodles according to package directions.
  • In 9 x 13 pan, alternate layers of sauce, noodles and cheese, beginning and ending with sauce. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  • Cool slightly before serving.
