Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. hot roll mix
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 egg white, beaten slightly
  • 1/2 c. currants

Method

  • Prepare roll mix according to directions, adding the sugar, cinnamon and currants.
  • Let dough rise until double.
  • Roll and knead on floured board.
  • Let rise again.
  • Make into rolls.
  • Put on greased cookie sheets and cut cross in top of each with kitchen shears.
  • Brush with beaten egg white.
  • Let rise.
  • Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 400°.
  • Frost with powdered sugar frosting.
