Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 pkg. Italian sausage
  • 1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 pkg. dry spaghetti sauce mix
  • 1 jar Prego or Ragu with meat
  • 4 cans tomato sauce
  • 3 cans tomato paste
  • 1 large can mushrooms
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
  • oregano and Italian seasoning to taste
  • onion salt and garlic powder to taste

Method

  • In large skillet, brown meat along with minced garlic.
  • Season meat with onion salt and garlic powder.
  • Drain and set aside. Using large pan or pot, combine sauces.
  • Add sugar and mushrooms. Add dry spaghetti sauce; add oregano and Italian seasoning.
  • Add drained meat with sauce; heat and stir occasionally until desired consistency.
