- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 pkg. Italian sausage
- 1 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 pkg. dry spaghetti sauce mix
- 1 jar Prego or Ragu with meat
- 4 cans tomato sauce
- 3 cans tomato paste
- 1 large can mushrooms
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
- oregano and Italian seasoning to taste
- onion salt and garlic powder to taste
Method
- In large skillet, brown meat along with minced garlic.
- Season meat with onion salt and garlic powder.
- Drain and set aside. Using large pan or pot, combine sauces.
- Add sugar and mushrooms. Add dry spaghetti sauce; add oregano and Italian seasoning.
- Add drained meat with sauce; heat and stir occasionally until desired consistency.
