Ingredients

  • Lamb
  • 1 lb Ground lamb
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1/2 Minced onion
  • 2tsp Oregano
  • 1tsp Cumin Powder
  • 6tsp Cavenders Greek Seasoning
  • Rice
  • 1 Cup basmati rice
  • 2 Cup water
  • 3/4 Tbsp Chicken Base
  • 1/4tsp tumeric powder
  • 1/4tsp chili powder
  • 1/2tsp cumin powder

Method

  • For Lamb
  • Squeeze water from the onion using a small cloth.
  • Add minced onion, 1lb ground lamb, 1lb ground beef, 1 tsp cumin powder, 2 tsp oregano and blend for 2 minutes.
  • Then add 6tsp cavenders greek seasoning and blend again for a few more min.
  • Make into thin patties and cook on a skillet with light oil. Approx 3-4 min per side. Once cooked cut into pieces and set aside.
  • Rice
  • Dissolve 3/4 tbsp of chicken base with 2 Cup of water and set aside.
  • Add 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, 1/4 tsp cumin powder and 1/4 tsp chili powder to pan with light oil. Add rice and stir until blended. Then add the chicken base.
  • Allow to cook.
  • Add rice, lamb and salad and garnish with white sauce.
