Ingredients
- 27 oz. can sauerkraut
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 8 slices bacon
- 1 c. tomato juice
- 1 Tbsp. horseradish
- 8 frankfurters
Method
- Combine kraut, tomato juice, onion, horseradish and sugar. Mix lightly but thoroughly.
- Turn into shallow pan.
- Wrap each frankfurter with 1 slice bacon and arrange in decorative fashion on top of kraut mixture.
- Bake in hot oven at 400° for 25 minutes or until bacon and franks are done.
- Turn franks once during baking time so that bacon will be crisp.
- Serves 4 or 5.
