Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. oleo or butter
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. ginger
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 lb. raisins
  • 1 lb. pecans
  • 1 lb. candied cherries
  • 1/2 lb. candied pineapple
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. hot water
  • 3 to 4 Tbsp. whiskey

Method

  • Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs. Beat well. Add spices to flour then baking powder. Add to butter mixture then add whiskey mixture. Add fruit and nut mixture. Drop by spoonfuls on greased baking sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 minutes.
