Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 medium head cabbage, cut in thin wedges
- 1 medium onion
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. seasoning salt
- pepper to taste
- 1 lb. kielbasa, cut in 1-inch pieces
Method
- Cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp.
- Remove bacon, reserving drippings in skillet.
- Crumble bacon and set aside. Add next 6 ingredients to drippings; cover and cook for 10 minutes over medium heat, turning cabbage once.
- Add sausage; cover and cook 7 minutes.
- Transfer to serving dish with slotted spoon; sprinkle with bacon.
- Yields 6 servings.
