Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 grated fresh coconut
  • 2 lemons
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. sugar

Method

  • Cream butter and sugar together and add eggs one at a time. Then add flour, baking powder and milk; stir until all is wet. Fold in nuts.
  • Pour half the batter into two pans.
  • The other half, add cocoa, allspice and raisins and pour into remaining pans.
  • Bake.
