Ingredients

  • 1 lb medium ground beef
  • 14 cup chopped green onion
  • 2 tablespoons black bean sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 12 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 12 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 egg
  • 14 cup fresh breadcrumbs or 1 slice bread or 12 hamburger bun
  • 1 cup matchstick carrot
  • 1 cup matchstick cucumber
  • 12 teaspoon sugar
  • 4 teaspoons rice wine vinegar
  • 12 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 13 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons sriracha sauce
  • 12 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 sprigs cilantro (optional)

Method

  • Gently combine the ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  • form into 4 equal sized hamburger patties.
  • Chill for a few hours to combine the flavours if possible.
  • In a separate bowl combine the carrots, cucumbers, rice wine, sugar and toasted sesame seeds.
  • Mix well, cover and chill for a few hours if possible.
  • In a small serving bowl combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, Sriracha, paprika and garlic powder.
  • Cover and refrigerate until you are ready to serve.
