Ingredients
- 5 bags green tea
- 1 small red pepper, diced
- 1 small yellow pepper, diced
- 2 carrots, peeled and grated
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 12 cups long grain rice
- salt and pepper, to taste
Method
- In a saucepan, steep the green tea bags in 3 1/2 cups of boiling water for 5 minutes.
- Discard the bags, keep the water.
- Meanwhile, in a saucepan over medium heat, cooked the peppers and the carrots in the oil for about 3 minutes, or until tender.
- Add the green tea, rice and salt and pepper.
- Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes, until the rice is tender and fluffy.
