Ingredients

  • 5 bags green tea
  • 1 small red pepper, diced
  • 1 small yellow pepper, diced
  • 2 carrots, peeled and grated
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 12 cups long grain rice
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Method

  • In a saucepan, steep the green tea bags in 3 1/2 cups of boiling water for 5 minutes.
  • Discard the bags, keep the water.
  • Meanwhile, in a saucepan over medium heat, cooked the peppers and the carrots in the oil for about 3 minutes, or until tender.
  • Add the green tea, rice and salt and pepper.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes, until the rice is tender and fluffy.
