Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground chuck
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/3 c. cooking oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 (5 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. thin spaghetti, cooked until tender

Method

  • Heat oil in heavy skillet until medium hot.
  • Add chopped onion and garlic to skillet and cook until glossy.
  • Add salt and pepper to meat and form into 2-inch balls.
  • Add to skillet.
  • Brown lightly.
  • Add tomato sauce and water.
  • Cover and cook on medium heat for 30 minutes.
  • Uncover and cook slowly until sauce thickens.
  • Serve over spaghetti which has been cooked until tender and drained.
