Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 stick oleo
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 5 egg yolks
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. coconut
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Method
- Cream sugar, oleo and Crisco.
- Add egg yolks.
- Beat egg whites to fold in later.
- Add flour alternately with buttermilk and soda, mixed together.
- Add vanilla, coconut and nuts.
- Fold in egg whites.
- Bake in 3 layers at 350° for 25 minutes.
