Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 or 3 lb. fryer
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 Tbsp. bottled barbecue sauce
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. red hot sauce or salsa
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • salt to taste

Method

  • Saute onion and garlic in shortening.
  • Add remaining ingredients.
  • Mix well.
  • Add 2 cups water and cook slowly at least 30 minutes.
  • Boil fryer.
  • Debone.
  • Add to sauce and simmer about 10 minutes.
  • Cook large package of spaghetti in water where chicken was cooked; drain.
  • Add sauce and mix well.
