Ingredients

  • 1 large fryer, cut up
  • 3 or 4 Irish potatoes

Method

  • Wash chicken and salt and pepper it and put garlic powder to taste.
  • Arrange chicken in a large baking dish with skin side up. Dot with butter and sprinkle 1/3 cup flour over all.
  • Cover bottom of dish with water.
  • Bake uncovered in 400° oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until brown.
  • Turn chicken over and add potatoes that have been peeled and quartered.
  • Add 1/2 cup of water and cover. Bake 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
