Ingredients
- 2 c. cornmeal
- 1/3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2/3 c. chopped onion
- 1 egg
- 2/3 c. (more or less) milk
Method
- Sift together meal, flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add butter, onion, beaten egg and enough milk to make dough soft. Drop one teaspoon in deep fat (375° to 400°).
- Cook about 4 or 5 minutes.
