Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1 c. flaked coconut
  • 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
  • 2 to 3 oz. cream cheese (at room temperature)
  • 4 Tbsp. oleo
  • 1/2 lb. powdered sugar

Method

  • Mix nuts and coconut.
  • Spread evenly on bottom of 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Prepare cake mix as directed; pour on top of nut mixture (do not mix).
  • Beat together margarine, powdered sugar and cream cheese until smooth.
  • Drop by teaspoons on top of batter.
  • Bake at 350° for about 55 minutes or until done.
