Ingredients

  • 3/4 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. ground veal
  • 1/4 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 1 c. light cream
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. finely snipped parsley
  • 1 1/4 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • dash of ground ginger
  • dash of ground nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • gravy

Method

  • Mix meats thoroughly.
  • Soak bread in cream about 5 minutes. Cook onion in 1 tablespoon butter until tender, but not brown. Mix meats, crumb mixture, onion, egg, parsley and seasonings. Beat 5 minutes with mixer until well combined.
  • Shape into 1 1/2-inch balls.
  • Wet hands for easier shaping.
  • Brown meatballs in 2 tablespoons butter.
  • Remove from skillet.
