- 3/4 lb. lean ground beef
- 1/2 lb. ground veal
- 1/4 lb. ground turkey
- 1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1 c. light cream
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. finely snipped parsley
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- dash of ground ginger
- dash of ground nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- gravy
Method
- Mix meats thoroughly.
- Soak bread in cream about 5 minutes. Cook onion in 1 tablespoon butter until tender, but not brown. Mix meats, crumb mixture, onion, egg, parsley and seasonings. Beat 5 minutes with mixer until well combined.
- Shape into 1 1/2-inch balls.
- Wet hands for easier shaping.
- Brown meatballs in 2 tablespoons butter.
- Remove from skillet.
